Enhanced support and benefits for MBKB payroll apprentices through CIPP membership

The CIPP are providing MBKB Training’s payroll apprentices with an affiliate level membership which can support and enhance their studies and knowledge.

To join, the apprentice or their line manager will simply need to notify MBKB Training of their interest by emailing their tutor

MBKB Training will inform CIPP after which the apprentice will have a subscription added and therefore be an affiliate member.

If welcome communications aren’t received from the CIPP within 14 days of advising MBKB Training, they are advised check back with them or contact CIPP directly at membership@cipp.org.uk.

As an affiliate member, they’ll be equipped with a wide range of benefits to help with their knowledge, development, recognition and support, including:

  • Access to the CIPPs Advisory Service helpline
  • Access to online content and support, including policy webcasts on topical issues and legislative updates
  • An online version of Professional in Payroll, Pensions and Reward with feature articles on hot topics, and back to basics content from the CIPP policy team which will support their learning
  • News Online e-newsletter delivered daily or weekly depending on their preference
  • Payroll: need to know – a guide to UK payroll legislation which will provide them with important updates to legislation within the current tax year to supplement their learning and knowledge.

When they successfully complete the apprenticeship

Armed with new knowledge and experience, the CIPP will be inviting apprentices to upgrade to Associate membership. This will allow the apprentice to use the post nominal letters (ACIPP) after their name and provide access to additional membership benefits as they take a further step forward in their payroll career.
