The awards process
Applications are open to all MBKB apprentices, their Managers, Mentors and Employers.
All applications must be returned to us online by the closing date of 12th March 2020.
Applications will be short listed by MBKB senior team members and tutors, to provide up to 5 possible candidates per award. The short list will be drawn up and each application will be considered fairly and impartially, and decisions made will be in MBKB’s absolute discretion. No correspondence will be entered into on the process for and decisions relating to selecting candidates.
Shortlisted candidates will be analysed by our external professional panel of invited judges to decide a winner for each category and the overall winners. Again, each shortlisted candidate’s application will be considered fairly and impartially, and decisions made will be in the judges’ absolute discretion. No correspondence will be entered into on decisions relating to selecting candidates for awards.
Shortlisted Candidates will be notified by the 28th March 2020, with winners being announced on the evening of 30th April 2020.
At the Awards evening all candidates will be read out with names, programmes and employers detailed. The winning candidate will receive a short expression of why they were chosen (potentially using what their Employer/Learner said about them on their application).
You must be available and eligible to attend the Awards evening. If you are below the age of 18, you must attend with a guest who is 18 or over.
You may place as many applications as you wish.
Applications for the awards are free of charge, with shortlisted applicants receiving a free ticket to attend the Awards evening, plus 1 additional ticket for their guest.
Entries made in a language other than English will be accepted, but the judging panel may be dependent on a free translation service such as Google Translate and as such we cannot take any responsibility for any errors in translation by a third party.
Learners are required to accept awards either in person at the Awards evening or in absentia. Non-registration to attend the Awards evening itself, will entitle us to assume that the Learner wishes to graduate, and/or receive any award they are chosen for in absentia.
It is your responsibility to make sure we have the correct contact details for you.
