FAQ  - Employer

What funding options are available to us?
If your annual salary bill is over £3,000,000 you will be paying into the Apprenticeship Levy. You can utilise these funds against the cost of any apprenticeship program relevant to your team development. Once your Levy pot has been spent, the government will cover the cost of future apprenticeships up to 95%; you will then pay the 5% balance.
If you are not an Apprenticeship Levy payer, you will need to access funds via a Non Levy Contract, which we can assist you with. Via this route, the apprenticeships will be 95% funded by Government Non Levy Contract, with you the employer paying just 5%.

If you are a SME with under 50 employers and the apprentice is under 19 years of age, you may claim 100% funding from this non levy contract.

16-18 year old learners also attract an incentive of £1000, payable £500 at 3 months, £500 at 12 months, this is irrespective of funding streams described above.

For some learners the apprenticeship route may not be appropriate, as such we also offer a loan funded option.
We can assist you with what the best option is, how to engage with the funding and to ensure a cost effective spend.

What is the Digital Apprenticeship Service?
The digital apprenticeship service, commonly know as DAS, is an online portal that allows employers to manage their Levy spend and assign training providers.

Can you help with Digital Apprenticeship Service?
Yes we have assisted several employers with their digital apprenticeship set up and ongoing management. We also have an ongoing calculator that can indicate how your funds will be spent through the next year or so to ensure budgetary management.

How much does an apprenticeship cost?
Each Apprentice program has a funding band limit assigned. These are updated periodically by the institute for apprenticeships. The amount of each apprenticeship can be negotiated between the provider and employer. The Levy or Non Levy co funded route can only be used up to the maximum funding band for that program. Providers and Employers can negotiate lower than the funding band limit.

How will the training be tailored to suit my business?
Each training program is 100% tailored to your business and development needs. We have a range of delivery options and course enhancements available. We also offer a the option for our tutors to work shadow in your workplace to get a better understanding of your vision and values.
At the start of each program a learning journey is created with our Tutor, you the employer and your apprentices.
